From the family genus of plants Brassicaceae. In this family you will find broccoli, cauliflower, kale, turnip, cabbage, swede, turnip, chard and a lot of weeds. These contain vitamins C & K, manganese, soluble fibre and glusosinolates. The garden pests love them they will need protection from pigeons, cabbage white butterflies. Many of these are a staple food in the hungry gap.
